On Thursday, December 4th from 7:00pm to 10:00pm, Kettle Art Gallery proudly presents their tenth annual holiday gift show “Holiday Presence 10” featuring small works and unique, artisan-crafted gifts made exclusively by local artists. Most pieces will be available for under $100.00.
Kettle Art Gallery began its mission in 2005; a year that also introduced Art Conspiracy and The Lollipop Shoppe. There must have been something in the air that year as these three preeminent showcases have all evolved into forces with which to be reckoned. From the very beginning, Kettle has maintained two overall objectives: to offer local creatives a place to exhibit; and to rejuvenate the artistic roots of the Deep Ellum neighborhood. Throughout the years, Kettle has hosted over 140 exhibitions, in various media, featuring only North Texas artists. This averages out to one show every three weeks, with over $200,000.00 going directly into the pockets of local artists.
Join us during “Holiday Presence 10″ as Kettle enters their tenth year of celebrating the amazing local artists who make our art scene one of the most vibrant in the country!
Kettle Art Gallery proudly presents ‘Over the Line’, an exhibition featuring new works by Dan Colcer, Clint Scism, Larry Carey, and Raymond Butler.
This exhibit examines the diverse, yet unifying, use of line in each of the four artists’ works. From Colcers’ implementation of numerous characters within a larger image, to Scism’s multi-layered, three-dimensional works on glass, to Carey’s 1960s influenced, mandala-esque pieces, to Butler’s re-appropriation of international currency etchings, each artist interprets the simplicity of line with a unique vision.
‘Over the Line’ opens Thursday, July, 10th, 7:00 – 10:00pm and runs through Saturday, August 2nd.
Please join us for the first exhibition ‘Phoenix’ in our new location, at 2650-B Main St in Deep Ellum. As declared back in April, when time was running low at our previous home, this would be the day we re-open. Thanks to the massive amount of people who believed in both our mission and target date, this proclamation is about to become true.
Since Kettle Art opened in 2005 we’ve given countless emerging and established North Texas artists a place to express themselves and show their works without inhibiti…on or restriction. We look forward to continuing this tradition at our new home as well.
Thank you all!

April 18 – May 4, 2013.
Kettle Art, in it’s present location, will be closing Saturday, May 4th, promptly at 10:00PM. Before we go, we plan one final ‘blow out’ exhibit of sorts, ‘Jubilee’ a past, present & future retrospect. This show will feature many of the talented artists we’ve been fortunate enough to have grace our walls over the past 8 ½ years. Expect to see one current piece, from each from this list of who’s who, in Dallas area …artists / photographers.

This can be seen as the end of an era but should be considered a new beginning. News of our new location will come in August in regards to our re-opening in September. Please rest assured this is a giant step forward.
“I Draw Lines”, the current solo exhibition of works by Clint Scism is now up on the walls at Kettle Art Gallery. The show runs from March 22nd through April 7th.
Get down to Kettle now to check out this exhibit as these photos really do not do these pieces justice (as you can see from the glare and reflections on the glass).
Kettle Art Gallery is open each Thursday, Friday & Saturday from 7pm – 10pm.
